Dr. Christopher Feindel is Professor of Surgery at the University of Toronto and the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre, University Health Network. An accomplished cardiac surgeon and leader for over 40 years, he previously worked as an electrical engineer before earning his MD from McGill University and completing surgical fellowships at the Universities of Western Ontario and Toronto. He also holds a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Harvard University and ICD.D certification from the Rotman School of Management.
As Quality Lead in Cardiac Surgery at UHN, Dr. Feindel focuses on performance assessment and quality improvement in cardiac surgical programs. He has held leadership roles with the Canadian Society of Cardiac Surgeons, Cardiac Care Network of Ontario, and Peterborough Regional Health Centre Board, fostering excellence in governance and patient care.
