Dr. Christopher Feindel is Professor of Surgery at the University of Toronto and Quality Lead in Cardiac Surgery at the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre, University Health Network.
An accomplished cardiac surgeon and leader for more than four decades, Dr. Feindel began his career as an electrical engineer before earning his MD from McGill University. He completed general surgery training at the University of Western Ontario and cardiovascular and thoracic surgery fellowship training at the University of Toronto.
He also holds a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Harvard University and ICD.D certification from the Rotman School of Management. His work focuses on performance assessment, governance, and quality improvement in cardiac surgical programs.
Dr. Feindel has held leadership roles with the Canadian Society of Cardiac Surgeons, the Cardiac Care Network of Ontario, and the Peterborough Regional Health Centre Board, advancing excellence in patient care and surgical governance.
